Enjoy Waterfalls, Tubing and Fishing

At the Deep Creek Entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains

The Deep Creek entrance to the Smoky Mountains lies just outside of Bryson City. There you will find a hiking trails, waterfalls, fishing, tubing, and a sizeable picnic area. Three waterfalls grace this section of the park.

Tom's Branch and Indian Creek waterfalls are relatively easy to reach. Juney Whank waterfall requires a little more effort to see, but still can be classified as "moderate".

If you like tubing, you can rent a tube, hike up the trail aways, and float back down to the parking lot or picnic area. When the water's up, it can be quite a thrill!

Fly fishing is popular in Deep Creek also. Once you get past the authorized tubing section, fishing can be quite enjoyable.
